Shapes, colours and light are the key elements of my paintings. Through rich natural colour and texture, my oil on canvas work reflects the beauty and moods of the English, Irish and Welsh landscapes, conveying the magnificent and calming qualities of natural light and space. My seascapes capture the translucency of breaking waves and the sparkle of water and foam.

I exhibit at galleries on the west coast of Ireland in Westport, the location of many of my paintings. The Corner Gallery in Cheadle, Cheshire, UK is also showing my work. I have contributed to exhibitions in North Wales and  I have exhibited at Cheshire's Castle Park Arts Centre; Gateway Theatre, Chester; Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, Pennsychnant, near Conwy, North Wales and with a small group of Welsh artists at Erddig Hall (National Trust), North Wales.

A love of wild landscapes inspired me to paint during family holidays in Scotland in the 1980s.   Since then I have continued to develop traditional techniques in oils.  I now live and work near Wrexham, North Wales. 

You can purchase my original paintings.  An original and unique oil painting will give pleasure for many years to come and makes a very special gift.  No one else will ever have that painting in their home or office!  Prices range from just under £100 to £300, depending on the size and complexity of the piece.  You can also purchase signed limited edition prints of some of the paintings.  If you see something you like, please make contact.  Viewings can be arranged or I can send you a sample print of the work for further consideration.  I am also available to carry out commissions.
